Woodard Private Investigations, LLC is owned by Private Investigator Frederick Woodard. Fred is a retired, highly-decorated detective with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
A former United States Marine, Fred retired from the Pittsburgh Police after twenty years of service. While a police officer, Fred was a narcotics detective and Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration under the U.S. Department of Justice. During this time, Fred was involved in and directed many complex investigations of high-level criminal organizations on local, national, and international levels. These investigations utilized strategies such as background investigations, interviews, working in undercover capacities, developing informants, short-term and long-term surveillance, and covert electronic surveillance.
Throughout the course of his career, Fred received many awards and commendations from local, state and federal agencies such as the DEA, FBI, and IRS. Fred was a five-time recipient of the Pittsburgh Police Officer of the Month award. In 2002, he was named Pittsburgh Police Officer of the Year for his role in the investigation and successful prosecution of what was called the largest drug trafficking organization in the history of Western Pennsylvania.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS/PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
Whether you need information regarding a potential renter, employee or a personal relationship, WPI will obtain that information from the best sources available. Each request is different and will determine the amount of time spent on each case. We will obtain in-depth information from sources available to us. If a deeper, more thorough investigation is requested, we will personally visit government offices if needed and search records to obtain information not found in basic searches. We will also locate persons and conduct relevant interviews.
If a polygraph examination is requested, we can arrange that process with an experienced polygraph examiner. As with all of our investigations, at the conclusion you will be presented with an organized portfolio of our findings including any records obtained along with a thorough report.
LOCATE/INTERVIEW PERSONS
WPI will attempt to locate and interview potential witnesses involved in civil matters. A thorough report will be completed and provided to you detailing the content of the interview. As with all services we provide, an investigator will appear for testimony at depositions and other civil litigations when provided with a subpoena.
